Health Leaders Forum:
Need to spread the word to the health student community? Join a regular meeting of health leaders from various student groups on campus working together for a healthier UW community. Share your ideas, events, activities with other health leaders on campus. Get broader support, get advice and feedback. Vote on what we will do together for our school. You do not have to be an officer from a student group—just interested in health with a project you would like to start or health out with! We also do leadership building workshops and retreats.
Calendar:
Always know what’s going on by checking our calendar! Add more events by emailing asuw.shc@gmail.com, subject heading [WEBSITE]. Our website is a centralized place for all health events and groups on campus. Find a group to join, place to volunteer, career resources, summer programs and internships.
Office Space:
Need a temporary place to store things for a health event? Still waiting for an official HUB office space? Apply to use the SHC office (HUB 304K) for temporary storing of materials for health-related events up to 1 week. Example: AIDS Charity ball—stored decorations, coolers, non-perishable food. Approved by director.
Mailing Address:
Need a mailbox for your health related project/group? Waiting for a mailbox in the Student Activities Office? Apply to use the SHC mailbox for temporary mailing. Approved by director.
Health Project Grants:
Apply for funding support from the SHC up to $100/project for facilities rental, printing, advertising or speaker stipend. To be voted on by the Health Leaders’ Forum, final decision made by the director. Grant amount may be adjusted with petition at the Health Leaders’ Forum. email asuwshc@u.washington.edu if you have any questions!
